Researcher in Cognitive Science of Language
I am a researcher in the cognitive science of language. My research centers on a fundamental question in linguistics and cognitive science: why do languages look the way they do? I use computational modelling, corpus analysis, and experiments to investigate this question. In particular, I am interested in linguistic laws, which are statistical tendencies that hold across languages. I am currently a postdoc at the Laboratoire de Psychologie Cognitive et Psycholinguistique at ENS-PSL.
I received a B.A. in computational linguistics (with a minor in mathematics) from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, where I worked under the supervision of Misha Daniel. Afterwards, I spent 3 years at the Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris, where I received a DENS in cognitive science as well as an M.Sc. in cognitive science from the now nonexistent CogMaster. I then obtained my Ph.D. in cognitive science from Aix-Marseille University, where I worked under the supervision of Isabelle Dautriche and Olivier Morin.
